Phillip Marlowe from PlanetPhillip has just announced a new contest for Source mappers. With a maximum prize of $100 and an all-star panel of judges this is going to be an interesting contest. The major premise of the contest is for mappers to create maps that involve the Source engine’s gravity gun. So I’m personally hoping to see some interesting and unique uses of the physics engine in the maps. The judges will be Jason Mojica of Irrational Games, Jason Gimba of Snowblind Studios and Magnar Jensson of Avalanche Studios. The deadline for all entries is Monday 19th September 2011 at 11:59pm GMT so that gives you all roughly 50 days to produce your map.
